Sea snakes sort of look like eels, but they don’t have gills, so they have to surface to breathe. These venomous reptiles spend most of their lives in water — usually in the shallow, warmer parts of the Indian and Pacific oceans. Most species lay their eggs in water. (Adrian Kaye / Shutterstock)
