Memorable Mausoleum

The word “mausoleum” means any aboveground tomb. But the first Mausoleum, in the ancient Greek city of Halicarnassus, was a massive, ornate resting place for the king Mausolus. Adorned with sculpture honoring his life, it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
