The Costa Rican wasp H. argyraphaga is a parasitoid, meaning its larva grows in a host body. It lays a single egg on its spider victim (P. argyra). The larva feeds, then injects a chemical that makes the spider build an unusual web — perfect for holding the larva’s cocoon.
