Explaining “Angel’s Glow”

After the 1862 Battle of Shiloh, some soldiers had wounds that glowed a faint blue, and they seemed more likely to recover. In 2001, teens Bill Martin and Jon Curtis found this Civil War “Angel’s Glow” came from luminous bacteria getting into wounds and killing other germs.
