Great Ganymede

Named after the mythical cupbearer of the Greek gods, Ganymede (“GAN-uh-meed”) is Jupiter’s largest moon. Along with being the largest moon in our solar system, it’s the only one with its own magnetic field, generated by a metallic iron core surrounded by layers of rock and ice.
