High-Flying Piano

The Hindenburg was the first passenger aircraft to include a piano. The lightweight aluminum instrument, built in Germany to meet the dirigible’s strict weight standards, was not aboard when the airship burned in 1937. It was later destroyed in a World War II bombing.
