Meet the Old Guard

Nicknamed “the Old Guard,” the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment is the oldest active U.S. infantry unit, in service since 1784. Its members guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and conduct military ceremonies at the White House, national memorials, and other official places.
