Long-Lost Fort Finally Found

In 1567, nearly 40 years before the first permanent English settlement at Jamestown, the Spanish built Fort San Juan in the Appalachian foothills. The remains of the fort, one of six destroyed by natives after about 18 months, were found by archaeologists in 2013.
