Remember the Rubicon

by Kids Discover

“Crossing the Rubicon” means you’ve crossed a certain line and can’t go back. It refers to a real place, now a river in Italy, where Julius Caesar’s army crossed into Rome. His action broke the law, leading to a civil war and, eventually, the dawn of the Roman Empire.
