Glowing Scorpions

Scientists don’t know why, but scorpions fluoresce under ultraviolet light, such as that from a blacklight. The blue-green glow is caused by a substance in the hyaline layer, a tough part of the exoskeleton that can survive millions of years. Even fossilized hyaline fluoresces!
