Happy Valentine’s Day! By the mid-1800s, this ancient holiday had become a popular day for sweethearts to exchange cards and gifts. In 1861, English chocolate-maker Richard Cadbury got the idea to sell sweets in heart-shaped boxes — and a new Valentine’s tradition was born.
