Endicott Pear Tree

A pear tree planted around 1630 by John Endicott, the first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony, is still alive and bearing fruit. Known as North America’s oldest cultivated fruit tree, this revered plant has survived hurricanes, decay, and a vandal attack in the 1960s.
