Grapevines Get Acne

Researchers in northeast Italy recently discovered an acne bacterium that’s adapted to living on grapevines. It’s the first known case of a human-seeking bacterium moving to a plant, which it probably did about 7,000 years ago. The microbe seems to do no harm to the vines, wines, or drinkers.
