Nepal’s Honey Hunters

Honey hunting is an ancient trade for the Gurung tribe in Nepal. Every spring and fall, hunters dangle from rope ladders off steep cliffs amid huge clouds of smoke that distract the bees. They use long poles to loosen honeycomb chunks and to position baskets that catch them.
