Axolotl’s Arrested Development

The endangered Mexican axolotl (ACK-suh-LAH-tuhl) is a salamander that, unlike most amphibians, tends to live in the water all the time. Known for staying in its larval, or immature, state its whole life, it has both lungs and gills and can even re-grow severed limbs!
