Lauren Rojas, 12, and her dad sent a weather balloon into the stratosphere with her Hello Kitty doll on board. This school project tracked changes in air pressure and temperature as the balloon rose. When it burst, they used GPS to find the toy cat — 47 miles away, in a tree!
