Smartphone Stethoscope

Suman Mulumudi, age 15, invented the Steth IO, a 3D-printed case that turns an iPhone into a digital stethoscope. The Seattle teen’s creation has tubes inside that direct the sound of heartbeats to the phone’s microphone. The data is shown onscreen and recorded to monitor the heart.
