Don’t Eye an Eclipse

During a total eclipse, it’s only safe to look at the sun with the naked eye when the moon completely covers it. At any other point, gazing directly at the sun can seriously damage your eyes. Also, it’s never safe to view a partial or annular eclipse without proper eye protection.
