Diesel exhaust from trucks and other vehicles is a major pollutant in the U.S. But biodiesel — made from vegetable oil, animal fats, and/or recycled cooking oil — helps reduce greenhouse gas and other harmful tailpipe emissions, as compared to regular petroleum diesel.
