Snoopy in Space

In 1968, Charles Schulz’s cartoon beagle, Snoopy, became NASA’s official astronaut safety mascot. On the Apollo 10 mission (a test run for the 1969 moon landing), the command module was named “Charlie Brown.” The lunar module that scouted the future landing site was “Snoopy.”
