Very Valuable Pennies

Copper was scarce in the U.S. during World War II, because so much was used in shell casings. In 1943, the U.S. Mint issued Lincoln pennies made from zinc-coated steel instead of copper. A few copper 1943 cents were made by accident. Now those coins are worth a very pretty penny.
