Giant Ancient Statue

The Colossus of Rhodes was a statue of the Greek god Helios that loomed more than 100 feet above the harbor of Rhodes, an ancient island city. That’s about as tall as a pro basketball court is long! It stood for over 50 years, until an earthquake wrecked it around 226 BC.
