Diurnal animals, such as dogs, squirrels, and lizards, are active in the daytime. Nocturnal animals, such as skunks, bobcats, and owls, come out at night. Some animals, including coyotes (pictured here) and housecats, are crepuscular: They’re most active at dusk and dawn.
