3-D X-Ray

The CAT scan was patented by physicist Robert Ludley in 1975. Short for Computerized Axial Tomography, it’s a three-dimensional X-ray that lets doctors look inside your organs, head, or spine in great detail to help them diagnose illnesses or injuries.
