Meet the Microclimates

A microclimate has a different climate than the area around it — warmer and wetter, for example, or colder and drier. Sunlight, wind, plants, valleys, and water can all help to create microclimates, which may be as big as a canyon or as small as under a tree’s leafy canopy.
