Angel Falls: The World’s Tallest

Angel Falls, in southeastern Venezuela, is the world’s highest waterfall, tumbling almost a kilometer (3,212 feet) down to a 500-foot-wide base surrounded by dense jungle. Named for American explorer James Angel, who “found” them in 1933, the falls are 15 times taller than Niagara Falls.
