Asian giant hornets

Asian giant hornets feed honeybee larvae to their young, often destroying entire hives to get them. Found in eastern Asia, the hornets have potent venom that can kill people by destroying red blood cells. Even so, it’s an allergic reaction to the sting that causes most hornet-related human deaths.
