Deep Blue Lake

Oregon’s bright blue Crater Lake formed in the caldera, or depression, created after a volcano collapsed around 5700 BC. It’s the deepest U.S. lake, and the water is very clear because no streams or rivers bring pollutants in: It’s filled only by rain and melted snow.
