Earth From the Moon

Seen from the moon’s near side, Earth has phases too — but they’re the opposite of how we see the moon. When the moon looks nearly full to us, for example, the lunar sky shows a thin crescent Earth. One side of the moon always faces us, so Earth stays in the same spot in the moon’s sky.
