Frozen Volcano

A volcano in Iceland called Eyjafjallajökull (say “AY-uh-fyat-luh-YOE-kuutl-uh”) is completely covered by an ice cap. (The name means “island mountain glacier.”) When it erupted in April 2010, ash shot as high as 10 miles and shut down air traffic in Europe for almost a week!
