How Tough Are Tardigrades?

Tardigrades, or water bears, are tiny but tough. These eight-legged aquatic organisms can survive in hot springs, inside ice, and even being dehydrated for over a decade! Not surprisingly, they’re also the first creatures to survive the vacuum and solar radiation of space.
