Jefferson’s Birthday Ban

Today is Thomas Jefferson’s Birthday. It was officially recognized by the U.S. government in 1938, but the third President didn’t like the idea of celebrating his birthday. He once said, “The only birthday I ever commemorate is that of our Independence, the Fourth of July.”
