More Than Meets the Eye

Scientists have found that the human cornea, the clear protective lens on the front of the eye, has six layers instead of five. Dubbed Dua’s layer after researcher Harminder Dua, it’s extremely thin but tough. This discovery could help improve treatment of many eye diseases.
