Slippery Orchid

Lady’s slipper orchids trap insects in the bulb-like pouches of their flowers, but not to eat them. When bugs climb out, they fertilize the plant. Found in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America, it’s the official flower of both Minnesota and Canada’s Prince Edward Island.
