Super-Sized Sand Dune

France is home to the Great Dune of Pyla (or Pilat), Europe’s largest sand dune. Over centuries, strong winds blowing off the Atlantic Ocean have gradually added more sand. Experts say the dune’s size has doubled in the last 100 years, covering trees, roads, and even houses!
