Teen Makes MRIs Better

As a teen, Alexander Gilbert developed two ways to improve Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI): a computer process to refine image contrast, and a stain to make cellular details clearer. His work is helping doctors more accurately detect diseases such as multiple sclerosis.
