Telling Time on the Moon

In 1971, Dr. Kenneth L. Franklin developed Lunar Time (LT), a system based on the moon’s rotation. Each “lune” (about the length of an Earth day) is divided into 24 “lunours,” like Earth hours. A company called Helbros even created a lunar watch!
