The Lincoln Memorial’s Day

On Memorial Day in 1922, former U.S. President William Howard Taft dedicated the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The ceremony was broadcast over the radio and attended by 50,000 people, including Lincoln’s son Robert and Civil War veterans from both sides.
