Weird Wave Action

A seiche (pronounced “SAYSH”) is a standing wave that happens in enclosed water, like a lake or swimming pool. It moves up and down, rather than forward like a sea wave. Seiches are caused by earthquakes, but high winds or pressure changes can also whip them up.
