What Makes a Blizzard

A blizzard is a snowstorm, but not all snowstorms are blizzards. Usually a blizzard features regular winds or gusts of least 35 miles per hour, and snowfall that makes it hard to see farther than a quarter-mile. These conditions also last at least three hours.
