The White of Your Eye

by Kids Discover

The sclera is the white of your eyeball, which serves as its protective coating. The six muscles that move your eye are attached to it, and the optic nerve is connected at the back. A kid’s sclera is thinner and looks slightly blue, but the whites of our eyes get yellower with age. (Taiga / Shutterstock)
