Wild Scottish Tigers

Great Britain’s last large predator is the Scottish wildcat. Though not much bigger than a housecat, it’s a fierce creature distinguished by its thick, ringed tail. Only about 400 remain — making “the Tiger of the Highlands” even rarer than its endangered big-cat cousins.
