Wisconsin’s Mainland Sea Caves

When Lake Superior freezes, people can hike across it to see spectacular ice formations in Wisconsin’s Mainland Sea Caves. In early 2014, for the first time in five years, the lake froze enough to let hikers explore the caves. More than 35,000 visitors saw the icy attraction in just one month!
