The arctic fox is well-adapted to life on the tundra. During loooooong arctic winters, it sports a thick, all-white coat for camouflage and warmth. And it often follows polar bears around, eating their leftovers. During summer, the arctic fox’s coat turns brown, and it hunts for its favorite food—lemmings, which are small, furry, short-tailed rodents that also make their home in the tundra.
