January 3 – King Tut’s Sarcophagus Uncovered (1924)

On this day in 1924, British archaeologists finally uncovered King Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus, revealing the incredible treasures of ancient Egypt. This discovery ignited a fascination with Egyptian history.
