New Year. Same Mission.

New Year. Same Mission.

Last month, I had a conversation with a Library Media Specialist that really summed up the first 4 months of this school year. While the start of this school year felt like the most “normal” things have felt in the last couple of years, December fatigue felt like “2019 May fatigue.” Needless to say, I hope you all had a chance to grab some much needed rest and relaxation the past couple of weeks.

As we welcome in the new year of 2023, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished together in the past year and to look ahead at what’s to come.

First, I want to thank you for your continued support and dedication to using Kids Discover products in your classrooms, school libraries, and at home. Your feedback and suggestions have been invaluable in helping us to create engaging and informative resources for young learners.

So far this school year, we’ve had some wonderful new product releases, headlined by Kids Discover en Español. These engaging, spanish-translated Print Titles of Kids Discover were created to meet the growing demand of dual-language immersion programs across the country. With the first dozen Titles live for sale, we’re excited to bring the next dozen KD en Español Titles to market later this month.

We were also excited to launch our Single Sign-On integration with ClassLink last month, enabling easy registrations and logins for both teachers and students to Kids Discover Online. Our newly released Units on the Amazon, Mars, and the Panama Canal, coupled with over a dozen new Videos has kept our editorial and design teams busy, and have been met with great enthusiasm by students.

New Year. Same Mission, Kids Discover, Muhammad Ali, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Madam CJ Walker

New Units on Muhammad Ali, Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and Madam CJ Walker are set to launch this February and March.

In the coming months, we have even more exciting new releases on the horizon, including 5 new Units for Black History Month and Women’s History Month, and a redesign of the Kids Discover Online Home Feed, which will make finding resources by Grade Level, Subject Matter, and Content Type easier than ever. Lastly, we are working hard on the addition of a new K-2 section to the Kids Discover Online content library, featuring over 40 Units dedicated to emerging readers in these grade levels.

We are constantly striving to provide the best resources and support for you and your learners, as we work to deliver on our mission of getting kids excited about reading and learning. Thank you again for choosing Kids Discover and for helping us to make a difference in the lives of your students.

Wishing you all the best in the new year,
