Neighbors nicknamed nine-year-old Phillip Stoll of Michigan “Huckleberry Phil,” because he likes walking barefoot in the creek. In April 2014, he felt something “weird” — and it turned out to be a 10,000-year-old mastodon tooth! His mom looked it up online, and a university scientist confirmed the find.
